Whyalla Beef is a leading beef feedlot operation committed to innovation and efficiency. As we grow, we're looking for a Mill Maintenance Worker to join our team and help keep our feedmill and plant running safely and efficiently.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to build solid experience in an essential role within agriculture.
This is a practical, varied role involving maintenance, repairs, and improvements across our mill and feedlot operations.
You’ll be working at Whyalla Beef, one of Australia’s largest and technically innovative feedlots. With a current capacity of 75,000 head. Located in the Southern Downs, 25km northwest of Texas on the Queensland / New South Wales border. The town of Texas is perched on the banks of the picturesque Dumaresq River.
General mill and plant maintenance
Welding and basic fabrication work
Fitting, repairs, and preventative maintenance
Fault finding and breakdown assistance
Working closely with operations to minimise downtime
Maintaining a safe, tidy, and well-organised work environment
Trade qualified or has strong practical experience
Comfortable with welding and fitting work
Good problem-solving approach
Reliable, safety-focused, and willing to learn
Happy working as part of a small, supportive team
